Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and Cyber Valley

The Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems seeks to understand the principles of Perception, Action and Learning in autonomous systems that successfully interact with complex environments and to use this understanding to design future systems. The Institute takes a highly interdisciplinary approach that combines mathematics, computation, materials science, and biology.

Cyber Valley is Europe’s largest research consortium in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) with partners from science and industry. The state of Baden-Württemberg, the Max Planck Society, the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, as well as Amazon, BMW AG, Daimler AG, IAV GmbH, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, and ZF Friedrichshafen AG are partners of this initiative. Cyber Valley is a leading center for AI research, bringing together partners from science and industry to create a world-leading hub for research on intelligent systems and to establish an ecosystem for startups in the field of artificial intelligence.
